How To Create Irresistible Freebies Your Clients Will Love
I love that nowadays there are so many great free resources available on the internet, that give us as consumers the chance to check someone out ahead of deciding whether to sign up to their products or services.
Do you think potential customers would be more likely to buy from you if they knew more about how you or could sample your products/services?
E.g through blog posts, podcasts, Youtube clips, audios, reports, fact-sheets,tip-sheets, ebooks, blueprints, or taster events such as automated webinars.
Providing free content rich resources that showcase your knowledge (and are strategically linked to your service offering) also help to position you as an expert and work brilliantly as lead generators when incorporated into a robust ‘sales funnel’. Here are 7 simple steps to get you started:
- Find out from your ideal clients what THEY would find really helpful (e.g. do a client survey) .
- Decide which type of resource to produce – based upon your skill set, resources and preferences of your clients.
- Create your resource – give yourself a certain time to create your irresistible freebie. It doesn’t have to too long as long as it is appealing and adds value to your audience. E.g. I always aim to create my ’52 Ways To XXX’ Fact-sheets within one hour.
- Put the technology in place to automatically deliver your resources to those who sign up.
- If you are using this as a way to build your email list (and relationships with potential clients), set up an auto-responder sequence of emails to subscribers that will help you position yourself as a reliable and generous expert.
- Publish your irresistible freebie in whatever format is most relevant e.g. on your website, social media profiles or at networking events.
- Market and get people to sign up to your irresistible freebie e.g. at networking events, through your website and social media posts.
