My Favourite Books of 2021
Love a good book? Here are my favourite books of 2021 – all written by fabulous female authors and are well worth checking out.*

Within Wicked Walls by Lauren BlackwoodWhy is there a cold castle in the middle of the desert? Why do people who work there keep disappearing? Will Andromeda, a debtera (exorcist) hired to cleanse the castle of an evil dark force, be able to do and save the excentric hier she’s fallen for? A refreshing and thought provoking romance. Northern Spy by Flynn BerryA race against time to discover the truth about an IRA bombing without destroying family and community bonds. This kind of novel adds depth to my memory of troubling times but also had we questionning: what would I do in that situation? Check it out <HERE>. |

To the Woman by Donna AshworthI discovered this book when I was looking for poems to read during the women’s circles I run. Packed with so many wise words and inpiring poems that get to the core of who we are, how we feel, and the potential within us all. A lovely book to dip into. Check it out <HERE>. |

Lady of Fire by Melanie FromeI didn’t think I liked fantasy novels until I read this one. Wow. A wonderful fast paced adventure as Lady Moireach MacRae escapes being married off only to discover her life is at risk by unknown forces. The XX Brain by Dr Lisa MisconiWhat an eye-opener this book was about so many different aspects of female health, gender medicine, and the differences between how male and female brains work. It felt as though I was thinking ‘everyone should know this’ constantly throughout the book. Check it out <HERE>. |

The Color of Our Sky by Amita TrasiI love novels that weave together a powerful story, different cultures, and periods of history. This is a beautiful story about childhood sisterhood and the lies people tell to protect their loved ones. As an adult, Tara returns to India to unocver the truth about her friend Mukta’s abduction. The Perfect Lie by Jo SpainLots of twists and turns in this ‘all is not as it seems’ thriller. It’s only when I look back on my favourite books of 2021 I realise just how much more reading I’ve been doing and loving it.
