Are You Doing Enough Joyful Marketing?
There are many ways to promote what you do, but which marketing strategies are best for you?
The way I see things is that we’re more likely to DO what we enjoy, rather than what drains are energy. So today I share my thoughts on choosing joyful marketing strategies for attracting more of your ideal clients.
Do you spend any time trying to do marketing strategies you really don’t enjoy?
There are so many different ways we can go out and build our business although I realise if you’re watching this you might be thinking, ‘really? I’m not sure what they are.’
But there are–honestly! And what’s really, really important is that you don’t feel you have to do anything.
It’s better to pick a strategy that you enjoy
There plenty marketing strategies to choose from, and I love how technology has given us far more choices, to suit our natural personality. It’s just a case of focusing on those which energise you and get the results you want.
Please do not feel you have to do anything that you absolutely hate, because let’s face it, when we are building our business, going out and promoting ourselves can be some of the most challenging things we do. Especially if you’re someone who prefers to promote others, rather than yourself.
My favourite strategies are being on stage, doing talks, networking and fundraising. Also doing things like recording this VLOG rather than sitting writing, because I go more into flow when I’m talking.
That’s what I encourage you to think about today:
What marketing strategies would you love, or could you potentially love?
I used to be so shy, there’s a not a hope in hell I would have ever have stood on a stage and talked to an audience. But now without doubt, my favourite strategy. I used to be so shy and hate networking because I was going to the wrong networks. So now I find the ones where I really connect with the people, and these are now some of the highlights for me of being in business.
I do really like writing, which is why I wrote and published my first book last year, but when I’m really busy in my business, what energizes me more, is recording VLOGs like this, and paying others to turn them into into written form and blog posts. Which again makes me feel so much better because I’m sharing work with other people and paying other people.
I know some people who are great at art which they then incorporate in their branding, website and social media posts. While others bring music, singing and movement into their marketing events. Many introverts are doing well because they’ve mastered on-line activities that don’t need them to be in front of cameras or out networking at in-person events. There is no right and wrong.
To help you work out the best marketing strategies for you, ask yourself:
- What you LOVE doing naturally – personally and in business?
- How you could incorporate this in your marketing?
